We are The HERALD!!! A family of believers whose sole desire is to share the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with a dying world. If you're looking for the sincere teaching of the word of God, a display of the love of Jesus Christ and a genuine concern for the body of Christ and the loss, you've found it here, at The HERALD!! No fanfare, no smoke and mirrors, but a true delivery of God's word, in season and out of season.

Pastor D assumed leadership of The Herald in January 2023, in a transition service from our previous pastor Bishop Ronald A. Sewell, Sr. Pastor D has served The Herald for over 30 years in various capacities; Minister of Music, Chairman of the Elder's Council, Sunday School Superintendant, and Executive Pastor.

Pastor D spearheaded many improvements to the sanctuary from modernization of pulpit/stage and sanctuary lighting, to enhancing our social media presence, which is ALWAYS a work in progress.
​
Pastor D is 21 year veteran of the United States Navy and currently still serves as a civil servant within the United States Government.
​
He is married to our Elect Lady, Janet Sewell (Lady J). Together they have 5 children and 3 grandchildren.
​
A forward thinker and visionary, Pastor D continues to discover and implement ways for The Herald to be the family of choice, while yet insisting that joining the body of Christ at any bible-based church family, is what's really most important.
Lady J has spearheaded the women's ministry along side her husband "Pastor D" since January 2023, in a transition service from our previous Elect Lady. ​

​A powerful woman full of Holy Spirit discernment and walking in the fruits of the Spirit in her everyday interaction, Lady J is a leader, teacher, encourager, evangelist and nurturer to all she meets. She continues to empower the women of The Herald to be holy, righteous, honest, and obedient servants of in the body of Christ and to walk in courage and boldness as community leaders and influencers in the Kingdom of God.
